Subject: Behind the Lines - RSL Youth Choir Newsletter

NEWSLETTER 24 MARCH 2015
Dear Friend,

I am very excited to bring you our very first Monthly Newsletter "Behind the Lines". As the year progresses, I look forward to keeping you up-to-date with all the exciting developments we have planned for the Choir.

I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our wonderful Committee who provide support in a number of areas behind the scenes. Click here to read more about our Committee Members...

As Australia's first RSL Youth Choir, we are bringing music and history together to inspire and develop young people to become leaders, encouraging them to learn from the past, live in the present and look to the future.

One of the new initiatives for 2016 is our 21st Century Leadership Academy based on the fifteen values found in the Hall of Memory at the Australian War Memorial. Developed by our Creative Director, OJ Rushton, the Academy is inspiring a new generation of good, solid leaders with a firm understanding of Australia’s culture and history.

As an advocate of good leadership, I believe it is important to be developing young leaders that understand the sacrifice of our brave service men and women and of those who went before, young people who will not ever allow the past to become a distant stranger and who will never forget that those sacrifices for peace and freedom were made in our name. I am looking forward to introducing you to some of our young Academy members throughout the year.

I would like to wish you and your family a safe and Happy Easter!

Kind regards,

Rhondda Vanzella OAM
President, RSL Rural Commemorative Youth Choir, Inc.
