Update: In light of COVID-19, we wanted to check in and let you know your health and safety are our top priority. We’re still figuring things out and will keep you posted about any changes to our conference.

In the meantime, we are actively seeking proposals per the submission process below. Please know that we are planning an engaging and informative format and your proposals are important to us to make this happen.

Thank you for your patience!
Our theme of the 2021 conference is Building Connections: Transforming Perceptions and we are currently seeking submissions related to this theme for the conference being held in New Orleans, Louisiana, February 18-21, 2021.

Use the button below or at the end of this email to submit either a formal lecture presentation, a panel discussion, a table talk topic, or a poster presentation.

More information about the formats and our strands is below for your review prior to submitting a proposal.

Deadline for submissions is June 15, 2020.
Formal Lecture Presentations

Formal lecture presentations are conducted in a private room with 25-100 attendees. LDA values sessions that present current and best practices, including basic, intermediate and advanced information about the nature of learning disabilities.
Panel Discussions

Panel Discussions are conducted in a private room with 25-100 attendees. The panel is made up of 2 – 5 experts discussing a relevant topic related to learning disabilities. LDA values sessions that present current and best practices, including basic, intermediate and advanced information about the nature of learning disabilities.
Table Talks

Think of it as speed dating for teachers. Our very popular table talks take place in a large room with several simultaneous sessions happening at one time. Table talks are a great way for teachers to hear first hand from you on new insights, skills, techniques and strategies. They are designed to give teachers a lot of great information in a shorter amount of time. As a presenter, you’ll have 60 minutes to present your same basic presentation three times (20 minutes each). Your presentation should focus on information most immediately applicable to teacher. There is no AV available during these sessions but you are welcome to bring handouts.
Poster Sessions

Research poster sessions are a great opportunity for you to share the results of any recent research studies and projects related to learning disabilities. We provide opportunity to have visual displays on poster boards which are viewed and discussed individually or in small groups.
