Subject: Knitlet - the 4th one

Hello Friend,

Today I'll send you something easier. I had an angry argument with myself if I should make it more "interesting" or not. The other half won so it's a bit easier than my other swatches usually are.

This pattern is quite simple and perfect if you just want to practice lace knitting. I imagine it to be effective on larger items - sweaters, blankets oversized ponchos.

For this swatch, I used some left-over DROPS Baby Merino yarn and 3,5 mm needles (US 4 / UK 11/12).

Here's the swatch:
The pattern is worked over 2+10+9 stitches and 20 rows.

Note! Do not use markers to separate pattern repeats as the pattern/stitches "travels".
Abbreviations:

RS - right side;
WS - wrong side;
sts - stitches;
rep - repeat;
K, k - knit on RS, purl on WS;
P, p - purl on WS, knit on RS;
yo - yarn over;
ssk - slip, slip, knit together through back loop;
k2tog - knit 2 stitches together;
sk2p - slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit next 2 stitches together, and pass slipped stitch over the k2tog;
Pattern:

Row 1 (RS): K2, (k2, yo, sk2p, yo, k5), k2, yo, sk2p, yo, k4.
Row 2 and all the WS rows: purl;
Row 3: K2, (k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k3), k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k2.
Row 5, 7: K1, k2tog, (yo, k5, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog), yo, k5, yo, ssk, k1.
Row 9, 11: K2tog, yo, (k7, yo, sk2p, yo), k7, yo, ssk.
Row 13, 15: K1, k2tog, (yo, k5, yo, ssk, k1, k2tog), yo, k5, yo, ssk, k1.
Row 17: K2, (k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k3), k2tog, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k2.
Row 19: K2, (k2, yo, sk2p, yo, k5), k2, yo, sk2p, yo, k4.
A new pattern:
I really thought I can present to you my new pattern today, but due to the series of misfortunes, I need to delay that victory message. So I'll give you the "behind the scenes" picture instead (I tried to get the full shawl on the picture without side help). The pattern will get its own email and I hope to send it out to you in a few days with all the information.

But until then here's the pic (PS! This picture is for your eyes only ;), it's not the best one)
I hope you enjoy the pattern swatch!

With much love,
