Subject: Knitlet - the 12th one

Hello Friend,

Yarn for August is Malabrigo Lace ("Holly Hock", 148) and I used 2 mm needles (US 0 / UK 14) with that. I was on the fence at first due to the fact that it's a bit variegated yarn, but it is an absolutely lovely color and I don't regret it. See how the pattern is defined and variegation adds interest.

Here's the swatch:
The pattern is worked over 1+20+20 stitches and 36 rows.

For this swatch, I casted on 47 stitches - 3 for edging, 41 for the pattern (total of 1 pattern repeat,) and 3 for edging.

RS - right side;
WS - wrong side;

Coming up:
Sneak peek #2 from the coming shawl pattern

Last week I showed you the first sneak peek of the coming pattern. Here's another one. We are moving on with the theme of life that was brought up by the (unexpected) growth of my daughter...

The story of life, as any story, has a framework. But unlike a fairytale, the story of life hasn't got clear cut and crisp edges. It has curves, waves, and twirls keeping you on your toes never knowing what's around the corner.

Story of life flows creating unknown patterns of life. Sometimes it forms droplets of tears, sometimes leaves with its own embellishments and flourish. It all depends on how you look...
Enjoy!

With much love,
