Along with recorded classes from your favorite teachers at the Y, we have additional free resources to offer you and your family!

Les Mills
—There is something for everyone! Included here are high intensity interval training classes designed to improve strength and fitness fast, dance fitness workouts, the martial arts inspired BODYCOMBAT Invincible program and mindfulness practices which slow the stream of thoughts that can cause our stress.

Y-360You can take group exercise classes for all ages right in your own home! There are also sports classes and more for our young people. Find some of your favorite classes by browsing videos. We are working hard to provide options and additional benefits for our members and trust that you will find a class that you love!

12BurstsKeep your family active and having fun with 12Bursts. The 12Bursts program encourages your children to achieve 60-minutes of daily recommended physical activity through 12 activity “bursts” of five minutes each. Stack your bursts or mix or match in whatever way best fits your schedule to complete each day’s Daily Dozen challenge. 12Bursts can be completed as individuals or as a family.

Stay Health-Y 600 Challenge—This fitness challenge for Y Members across the country is designed to keep you moving and to be active in ways you may not have tried before. Participants are encouraged to log, track and complete 600 minutes of activity throughout the course of 30 days and compete with other Y members to see who can rack up the most points! This program will feature suggested workouts, including those found on Y-360.

Support the men who call McGaw YMCA home
If you are making masks and are willing to share or want to make a few extra for us, we are looking to provide the men who live with us at McGaw with masks to wear. Donations of masks or other goods can be dropped off at McGaw YMCA and left at the scanning station (to the right when you walk in) and a staff member will sanitize before we distribute. Thank you so much for helping the men who call McGaw home!

Symptoms of COVID-19
We’re working with our friend’s at NorthShore University HealthSystem to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

If you or someone in your home is experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, please call 847-HEALTH9 (847-432-5849) as soon as possible and talk to a NorthShore clinical expert. The expert may recommend testing.

If you are already a NorthShore patient, you can also log onto NorthShore Connect to be screened, or if you are not a NorthShore patient, you can enroll in NorthShore Connect, and use the COVID-19 EVisit. Please go to NorthShore Connect and click on the “sign up now” button and follow the instructions.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include:
• Loss or decrease in the sense of smell
• Loss or decrease of the sense of taste
• Fever – temperature of 100 or higher
• Cough
• Congestion
• Runny nose
• Sore throat
• Shortness of breath
• Flu-like body aches

We know it’s not quite the same, but we are so thankful you are sticking this out with us. 94% of our members have kept their membership active since we had to close our doors in mid-March.
